Former Tesla Engineering Chief Doug Field Turns Back to Apple
Doug Field, who ventured down as the senior VP of designing at Telsa a month ago, is coming back to Apple, Apple told Reuters on Thursday.
Field will work with Apple official Bob Mansfield, who has been heading up Apple's self-driving auto program, Project Titan. Field and Mansfield beforehand cooperated on building Apple's line of Mac PCs.
Field has put in the previous five years at Tesla. In April, Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk said in a tweet that he had requested that Field deal with the organization's designing and generation while Musk concentrated additional time on Model 3 creation.
However, in May, reports developed that Field was leaving the carmaker, which has dashed to meet generation focuses for the Model 3. At the time, Tesla said Field was "simply taking some time off to energize and invest energy with his family. He has not left Tesla."
In July, Tesla declared that Field had left Tesla.
Apple has said little in regards to the extent of its self-driving auto venture, yet court reports recorded a month ago said that upwards of 5,000 individuals were approved inside the organization to get to data about the undertaking.
